Follow some simple steps to add a product into your store:
- Login to the admin panel. Go to the catalog option -> Choose Categories/Products.
- Select the category in which you want to add the product.
- Click on the folder icon next to the category name. Then click on new product button. Provide the required information.
- Fill the product status whether it is available in stock or not.
- If product is not available in the stock then fill the date when it would be available.
- Now fill the manufacture date of product. It is optional.
- Add the name of the product.
- Select whether it is taxable product or not. Enter the price of product without tax. Then enter the total price including tax.
- Enter the informative description for the product. Use HTML tags to make the description more attractive.
- Add the image for the product. This image would display as a thumbnail image in the store. When you will put the cursor over the image it will show the original size of image.
- You can check the preview before adding the product in the store. If everything is fine click on insert button and your product will successfully added in the store.
- You can also check the product at the front end whether it is successfully added or not.
- In this way it is very easy to add a product to a category or subcategory.
