- Email Settings
When you first set up Sugar CRM you may want to consider also configuring it so that your installation can connect to your mail server in order to send and receive email. This helps to keep track of correspondence and emails that are sent to your prospects leads and clients. To manage the set up of this you will need to navigate to “Email Settings” in your Sugar CRM administrator panel.

Once you are in the administrator area for Sugar CRM email settings you can set up your Outgoing Mail Configuration. Sugar CRM also has some default settings already configured if you use email clients such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Microsoft Exchange. You also have the option to set up a custom outbound mail configuration.
There are also several default security settings that can be edited in the Sugar CRM email settings but these are best left alone unless you are an expert and fully understand how to use Tags.

- Inbound Email
The Inbound Email module in Sugar CRM allows you to set up your systems inbound email accounts for users and also set up “Group” and “Bounce Handling” accounts to route incoming emails based on the purpose of the inbound email address.
For example you could have an email address for This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and that email address could be set up to automatically create a case for each email that comes into the system and assign it to a specific user or department.

- Campaign Email Settings
The campaign email settings administrator module in Sugar CRM will allow you to define how many emails are to be sent per batch when you send bulk email campaigns. You may also control the way sent campaign messages are stored if you are an advanced user. These options are best left at the default settings for novice users.

- Email Queue
As your Sugar CRM application becomes more and more active as your company and staff grows you will have a lot of outbound email activity for various campaigns. The “Email Queue” is where you can search or view the current outbound emails that are scheduled to be sent.
