You will need to change the www.your_domain.com with your own domain name.

2. The default installation page of myBB looks like this:

Please click next to continue with your installation and you will be forwarded to the License Agreement Page. Do not worry about the license as the myBB forum application comes under the GNU license and the GNU General Public License is a free, copyleft license for software and other kinds of works.

After you have read the license, please click on the Next button to continue to the Requirements Check page. This page is very important and all requirements should be in green color to provide you with perfect and flawless installation and performance.

By clicking the Next button you will be transfered to the Database Configuration page. The database page is very important as you will need to specify the database details that will be used by your forum. The database contains all information about your users, posts, comments, pictures, avatars and many more.

If you do not know how to create a database, please click here!

Also you can learn how to create your own database and how to create an administrative user for this database and how to link them together.

If you do not know how to proceed with the required settings please continue and we will be able to explain in details.

Database engine: MySQL Improved - leave that option as it is. This will provide you with the application performance and installation background

Database Server Hostname: local host - lease that option as well. Most hosting companies use exactly local host, so there is no need to change this one.

Database Username: this is the username you selected during the database creation process. Normally the username should be: your hosting account username then underscore (_) and the username you have chosen. So it should be: test_admin

Database Password: the password you have used for the administrator username. They are connected so the admin with the corresponding username can enter and edit/manage the database easily.

Database Name: this is the name of the database you have chosen. Normally it should be your hosting account username then underscore (_) and the username you have chosen. So it should be: test_database

Table prefix: leave this option as it is

Table encoding: please use the UFT- * encoding as it will allow different languages to be stored in your database. For example Cyrillic symbols will be displayed without any issues.

After you are ready please click Next and you will be transfered to the Table creation page. Simply click Next to proceed.

In the following pages: Table population and Theme Insertion tables, simply click Next to proceed

After this you will be forwarded to the Board Configuation page where you will need to include some details about your forum:

Our forum is installed in www.mybb.joomlarocket.com which is basically the same as www.joomlarocket.com/mybb that is why the settings appear like this. If your forum is installed in your main domain name (no folders or subdomain) you will simply need to write www.your_domain.com

When ready, click the Next button and you will be forwarded to the Create Administrator account:

In this page you will need to include your administrator username and password. Please note that due to security reasons this username and password should be extremely secure. We advise you to use letters, numbers and symbols holding the Shift on your keyboard.

When ready, please click on Next to proceed to the last page that shows the completed myBB installation.

Although the steps might seem difficult, the process takes no more than 2-3 minutes and when installing the myBB for a second or third time you will be an experienced with the installation process.
