- Database Backups
There are three different ways of creating database Backups in MyBB forum. You can use either of them according to your convenience.
- You can use MyBB Built-in Functionality to create backups. This is an easy style for creating backups in MyBB forum.
- Other common style for creating backups is completed by CPanel. Login to the CPanel and move to the Backups option. Click on the database name and store the database files on your local computer.
- You can also use phpMyadmin option in order to create backups. This is the most common style for creating backups. Select the database name and click on export option. It will store the database files on your local computer.
- File Backups
- Compress the files before performing backup process. Archived file increases the uploading and downloading speed. So it would be better to upload/download set of files instead of a single file.
- For this purpose, login to the CPanel and Go to the File Manage option. Click on the Select All button then compress the files. Now you can download the compressed folder on your computer. You can use FTP for this purpose. Again upload the files, when they are required.
